Speaking of anything with a heart of gold, Ruby was the one. She was the sweetest animal ever, she never bothered anyone. She enjoyed eating mostly anything meat (no veggies/low carb diet), napping, sunbathing, hanging out in the kitchen with me, and doing anything that didn't require a lot of moving around. Although she enjoyed burying her bones in the backyard. Those bones she buried were never recovered, she must have done a great job hiding them. In the summer, she was never in the house during the day, she was always spotted in the front yard. Some neighbors thought she was a statue. Giving her a bath was a chore, my husband had to help me carrying her in the bathtub. She didn't like water very much anyways!! I guess our feelings were mutual about her bath time.
Ruby passed away on June 1, 2011 from a brain tumor, it was one of the saddest days of my life. We planted a pink dogwood tree in our backyard in her memory. There wasn't a day that went by without me missing her. She's always in our hearts forever.
Note: Ruby was also known as Noon Brie, Manunica, and Rubalicious just to name a few.
