As I was preparing dinner for my daughter and me, she was doing her homework very diligently which was quite unusual. She was working on a piece of pop art and she chose Twiggy as her model First she had to sketch the portrait, then used it as a prototype for her pop art, I guess. This Twiggy portrait will be added to her portfolio and she'll use the portfolio as part of her art school application process. She appeared to be pretty happy about her work and I was definitely happy for her, yippee!! Finally, she and I found something that we both had in common. I would say she's more like her dad when it comes to artistic talents, they both are pretty good at drawing or sketching stuff. As far as my artistic talents go, my stick people aren't even cute. By the way, may I brag a little bit about my daughter here, please? She has just been accepted to a great art school in Grand Rapids and I'm so very proud of her. She's extremely excited about it herself. The day she got the acceptance letter in the mail, she cried and said...I don't have to plan to live on a street anymore, I now have a future ahead of me..................Did I ever mention that I love my teenager very very much!
